ગેજેટ ડેસ્કઃ ઇન્સ્ટન્ટ મેસેજિંગ સોશિયલ નેટવર્કિગ એપ વ્હોટ્સએપની સિક્યોરિટી પર ફરી સવાલો ઊઠી રહ્યા છે. ગ્લોબલી 200 કરોડ યુઝર્સ ધરાવતી એપ વ્હોટ્સએપની ગ્રૂપ ચેટ્સ ગૂગલ સર્ચમાં જોવા મળી રહી છે. આ માહિતીમાં ચેટ કન્ટેન્ટ, ગ્રૂપ મેમ્બર્સ અને કોન્ટેક્ટ્સ સહિતની સામેલ છે.
ગ્રૂપ ઇન્વાઇટ કોડ (URL) દ્વારા તે સરળતાથી એક્સેસિબિલ થાય છે. મીડિયા રિપોર્ટ્સ પ્રમાણે ગૂગલમાં આ પ્રકારના URLની અનુક્રમણિકા દર્શાવવામાં આવી રહી છે. ટેક એન્જિનિયર જેને ટ્વીટ કરીને ગૂગલ પર 4.70 લાખ ગ્રૂપની અનુક્રમણિકા હોવાની વાત કરી છે.

વ્હોટ્સએપના પ્રવક્તા એલિસન બોનીએ મીડિયા સાથેની વાતચીતમાં જણાવ્યું હતું કે પબ્લિકલી પોસ્ટ કરવામાં આવેલી વ્હોટ્સએપ લિંક્સ ગૂગલ પર શોધી શકાય છે.
ગૂગલની સ્પષ્ટતા
ગૂગલે પણ આ મામલે સ્પષ્ટતા કરી છે. ગૂગલના પબ્લિક સર્ચલાયસન ડેનીએ ટ્વીટ કરીને લખ્યું છે કે પબ્લિક લિસ્ટ કરવામાં URL ગૂગલ પર દર્શાવવામાં આવી રહ્યા છે.
